Clinton Morrison has backed Arsenal to sign Tottenham transfer target, Gabriel Jesus, and added that the Manchester City star can ’cause problems’.
The former striker added that Arsenal should sign Jesus and the club will be able to attract the ‘big’ names this summer because they are a ‘big football club’.
With the season at an end, the Gooners are none the wiser as to whether Eddie Nketiah or Alexandre Lacazette will sign new contracts.
As things stand, Mikel Arteta is without a senior striker heading into next season, but that’s why names like Jesus are being tipped to sign for them.
But they aren’t the only ones keen on the 25-year-old because Champions League-bound, Tottenham, are also interested in the player.
Nonetheless, this is what Morrison told Sky Sports News about Arsenal’s possibly landing Jesus this summer.
“Arsenal is a big football club,” said Morrison. “They are going to attract some big footballers.
“They have been linked to the likes of Gabriel Jesus, if I am Arsenal, then I sign Jesus.
“I think that’s the type of player they need. I like him. He’s still at a good age where he can cause problems and score goals. And he will play week in and week out.”

ARSENAL AND TOTTENHAM TO BATTLE IN SUMMER TRANSFER MARKET?
Both Arsenal and Tottenham will now want to battle it out for the elite players this summer, but will Spurs now have the edge?
Given that they are playing Champions League football, that in itself is a bigger lure than anything else, so could that turn someone like Jesus’s head?
Added with that, the versatile forward is a proven player, more proven than anything Arsenal and Spurs have signed recently.
Either way, the player would be a top, top addition for whoever he signs for and it’s one transfer story to look out for this summer.
