Alan Shearer has told Rio Ferdinand on Instagram that Kylian Mbappe will ‘want a big club’, as he made a Newcastle United reference, after the former centre-back urged the France international to join Manchester United amid rumours he wants to leave PSG.

On Tuesday, rumours broke, far and wide, that Kylian Mbappe feels ‘betrayed’ at PSG, after signing a big-money contract in the summer, and he wants out of the club when the transfer window re-opens in January, as reported by France journalist, Julien Laurens.

That has opened up speculation about what will happen to the 24-year-old during these coming months, with Real Madrid shutdown as the next possible destination and Liverpool mooted as a possible next stop in the World Cup winner’s trophy-laden career so far.

Well, on Instagram, Ferdinand is trying his best to lure the player to Old Trafford by joking that it’s a ‘done deal’, after meeting the PSG star last season.

In the comments section of Ferdinand’s post, Newcastle legend Shearer posted the message: “He will want to join a big club man.” added with the black and white colours of Newcastle.

Ferdinand simply laughed in response.

MBAPPE CAUSING A STIR

Whilst Mbappe won’t end up in Newcastle colours, the most ironic thing is that they are one of very few clubs that could probably pay the hefty transfer fee that would be put on his head and the ridiculous wages he is probably on.

Now, bearing all of that in mind, it’s going to be hard for Premier League teams to sign the forward, even if most of the money is in England’s top-flight.

It’s no surprise that Mbappe is seemingly upset at the promises that haven’t been kept, but that’s what happens when you spoon-feed an adult.

Following the rumours that broke about the French star, people far and wide have offered their thoughts, with Arsenal legend Thierry Henry claiming that the PSG forward has probably never been told ‘no’ in his life.
