According to The Times, Qatar Sports Investments (QSI) would make an offer for Tottenham Hotspur if they see signs that club owner Joe Lewis and Spurs chairman Daniel Levy are willing to do a deal.

The report published on Saturday evening has claimed that Qatar Sports Investments (QSI), who own French club Paris Saint-Germain, have ‘examined the viability of buying into Spurs’.

The Doha-based group would consider making an offer if Tottenham owner Lewis and chairman Levy ‘were to signal they are open to selling a minority share’.

The report has claimed that Tottenham are still insisting that they are not for sale.

As reported by The Times, Tottenham’s Premier League rivals, Manchester United, have been the subject of three separate bids.

Liverpool are also up for sale at the moment.

To sell or not to sell Tottenham Hotspur?

Tottenham Hotspur are a big and established club in the Premier League who are playing in the UEFA Champions League this season.

Spurs could end up in the top four of the Premier League table this campaign as well.

And we all remember how Tottenham reached the final of the UEFA Champions League in 2019.

However, as things stand, Spurs are unable to challenge the likes of Manchester City and Liverpool for the Premier League title on a regular basis.

Spurs are essentially a top-four challenger in the Premier League.

And that’s it.

For that to change, a rich businessman or a consortium will have to take over the club.

If Lewis and Levy wanted Tottenham to spend big on top players and challenge the elite clubs, then they would have done so by now.

Now, of course, QSI cannot fully own Tottenham, but even a minority stake at the Premier League club would excite the fans.
