Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to react over speculation about Dejan Kulusevski potentially coming to North London in January.
According to Calcio Mercato in Italy, Tottenham have established contact with Juventus about bringing the Sweden international to the Premier League.
The report has claimed that the Hotspur Way club are originally only seeking a loan-to-buy agreement, but the Serie A outfit would prefer a straight £30 million sale.
January is set to be Antonio Conte’s first transfer window since replacing Nuno Espirito Santo in the English capital toward the beginning of November.
And rather excitingly, Fabio Paratici, Tottenham’s managing director, has a lot of knowledge of Kulusevski after signing him for the Italian outfit during the winter of 2020.
And here is how a collection of Lilywhites supporters reacted to hearing that contact has been made for the player.
This is potentially a brilliant signing for Tottenham Hotspur
Should this transfer materialise, it could be such a stellar addition by Conte and Paratici.
January will make it exactly two years since Jose Mourinho brought Steven Bergwijn to North London but, being honest for a second, the Netherlands international hasn’t proven a good purchase.
And with Bergwijn and Kulusevski both operating primarily as left-sided attacking players, the latter is possibly quite an upgrade.
Kulusevski is genuinely attainable for Spurs
Under Massimiliano Allegri, Kulusevski has managed only three starts in Serie A all season long.
Simply put, the Swedish attacker is something of a periphery figure – as the statistic indicates – in Turin right now and if Tottenham honestly want him, and this isn’t merely speculation, then it’s a really realistic target.
