
Some Tottenham fans on social media have been reacting to Duncan Castles’ update on Jose Mourinho’s contract at the club.
Despite reports claiming that the gaffer has no break clause in his deal, Castles claimed on the Transfer Window Podcast that he does in fact have such a clause in his contract.
This means that Spurs can part ways with their manager for less than first thought, and they don’t have to pay him the full amount remaining on his deal.
“Contrary to what has been reported that there is no break clause in his contract. I’m told that there is a break clause in his contract, so the cost to dismiss him, should Levy choose to go down that route is less than the remaining value on his contract,” Castles said.
With Mourinho coming under a lot of fire recently, Spurs fans had a lot to say about this update.
As you can imagine, Tottenham supporters were over the moon after hearing this, and while it’s sad to see, it’s rather obvious that the fanbase want him to be relieved of his duties sooner rather than later.
Whether or not Mourinho does see out the remainder of his contract remains to be seen.
