Nuno’s Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with Bernardo Silva, and it seems that the attacker wants to leave Manchester City.

The Athletic reported last month that Silva is among the players Premier League champions City have offered to Tottenham in their bid to sign star striker Harry Kane.

The Sun reported last week that the Citizens could sell the 26-year-old, who can play as a midfielder or as a winger, to fund a move for Spurs star Kane.

90min are now reporting that the Portugal international’s representatives are actively looking for a new club.

Silva’s agents ‘have been working behind the scenes in recent weeks to drum up interest’ in the former AS Monaco star, described as “a phenomenon” by City teammate Ruben Dias on the Premier League’s YouTube channel in May 2021.

Bernardo Silva to Tottenham Hotspur?

Silva is a very good attacking player who has won the Premier League thrice and the EFL Cup on four occasions with City.

The 26-year-old has scored 21 goals in 131 Premier League games for City so far in his career.

Now, Tottenham do not win major trophies and will not even play in the Champions League next season.

However, Spurs are a very ambitious club who reached the Champions League final in 2019.

Under new head coach Nuno, Tottenham could go back to playing in the Champions League on a regular basis.

Silva’s best years are ahead of him, and he would be able to make an immediate impact at Spurs.

City paid Monaco £43 million as transfer fee for Silva in the summer of 2017, according to Sky Sports.
