Wolverhampton Wanderers emerged victorious from their clash with Bristol City on Saturday.

Wolves ace Ryan Bennett spoke to reporters in the aftermath of his side’s superb 2-1 away win at Bristol City, and shared what he told teammate Willy Boly before scoring his side’s last gasp winner at Ashton Gate, as quoted by the Express & Star.
The Black Country outfit have been nothing short of sensational from the very first game of the season, and they currently sit comfortably at the top of the Championship table, nine points clear of second placed Derby County, having played a game less than the Rams.
Nuno Espirito Santo has worked wonders since taking the reigns at Molineux.

The Portuguese deserves great credit, not only for his superb summer recruitment, but also for the manner in which he has galvanised the players who were already at the club, transforming them into a group with a real winning mentality.
Bennett spoke to reporters after this side’s win at Aston Gate, and shared what he told one of his teammates before scoring Wolves’ winner against the Robins, as quoted by the Express & Star:

“I heard the defender say he was going to stay in the middle of the goal with the two others. I said to Willy before – you knew Baz was going to shoot from there – you go across the front and if it’s short you get a nick on it, I’ll go round the back, if it goes long or wide I can hopefully be there to put it in. Fortunately I was. It was a long time coming – the ball seemed to be floating for a long time!”
Next up for Bennett and co is a home game against Brentford tonight, and a win could see them move 12 points clear at the Championship’s summit.
