England have been drawn against Iran, the USA, and Scotland/Wales/Ukraine in Group B of the 2022 World Cup finals in Qatar, which means that we could see Tottenham Hotspur defender Ben Davies trying to stop his teammate Harry Kane.

The 2022 World Cup draw was made today.

England will face Iran, the USA and Scotland/Wales/Ukraine in Group B.

Wales have booked their place in the playoff final, thanks to former Tottenham winger Gareth Bale’s heroics.

Scotland and Ukraine will face each other in the semi-final playoff, probably in June.

The winners will then take on Wales for a spot in the Qatar finals.

Potential Ben Davies v Harry Kane at 2022 World Cup in Qatar

If Wales progress, then Tottenham defender Davies will line up against his Spurs teammate Kane in Qatar.

Assuming Kane and Davies stay fit for Qatar and do not get dropped by their respective managers (well, we had to include this caveat, just in case), the two Tottenham players will face each other.

Davies has been playing as a left-sided centre-back for Tottenham under head coach Antonio Conte, and he could feature in a similar role for Wales if they progress through to the Qatar finals despite being a left-back by trade.

It will be interesting to see how Davies does against Kane, described as “the best centre-forward in the world” by Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw on talkSPORT this month.

Spurs centre-back Joe Rodon is also likely to be part of the Wales squad for Qatar – if they qualify, of course – and along with Davies, he will be keen on keeping Kane at bay.
