Ian Wright has said on ITV (4:55pm, July 30, 2022) that Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal and Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur will finish in the Premier League top four this season along with Liverpool and Manchester City.
The Arsenal legend made the comments about Tottenham and the Gunners ahead of the FA Community Shield between Liverpool and Manchester City today.
The ITV pundit has been impressed by the transfer business that Tottenham have done so far this summer.
Ian Wright on Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur
Wright said on ITV (4:55pm, July 30, 2022): “Obviously I hope Arsenal will be close. I think Tottenham are doing some great business, they are going about their business.
“Man United, depending what’s happening with Ten Hag, if he can get them going, what’s happening with Ronaldo, we don’t know, but I think it’s going to be these two (Liverpool and Manchester City), then I am probably going to go Arsenal, Tottenham because I love Arsenal.”

Top-four battle
In our view, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur will certainly challenge for the Premier League top four this season, but we should not forget Chelsea and Manchester United.
Chelsea are likely to challenge for the Premier League title, while United will aim to get back into the UEFA Champions League places.
The Gunners and Spurs have done some excellent transfer business already, but the window is still open.
Liverpool and Manchester City are the two strongest teams in the Premier League, but the likes of Arsenal, Tottenham, Chelsea and Manchester United will be determined to close the gap.
We are in for a fascinating and very competitive Premier League campaign this season.
