Speaking on his YouTube channel, Rio Ferdinand has claimed that there could still be another twist in the tale of the Premier League title race.
Liverpool slipped up against Tottenham at the weekend, and now, Manchester City are three points clear with a superior goal difference.
Inevitably, some have claimed that the title race is all over now, but, according to Ferdinand, City could still slip up due to the fact they have two tough games coming up and numerous injuries in the defence.
What’s been said?
Ferdinand gave his verdict on the title race.
“I still think there could be another twist, I think there will be another twist. The biggest thing this weekend for City are the five goals, because it could come down to goal difference. West Ham and Wolves away are not easy games. Bear in mind they have no Kyle Walker, no John Stones and no Ruben Dias. That’s three of their back four, so it’s not easy,” Ferdinand said.

Never over until it’s over
Manchester City are now the favourites to win the Premier League, there’s no doubt about that. However, this race isn’t run yet.
Yes, it’s unlikely that City will slip up from here, but stranger things have happened.
Did Man City really expect Wigan to beat Manchester United in 2011/12 and gift them a route back into the race? No, of course they didn’t, but anything can happen in this sport.
As Ferdinand says, Wolves are a tough nut to crack, and heading to the London Stadium for Mark Noble’s final home game will be another big task for Pep Guardiola’s side.
Liverpool aren’t out of this yet, not by a long shot.
