Speaking on the BBC Radio Five Live Football Daily Podcast, Don Hutchinson has been discussing Ousmane Dembele amid speculation about his Barcelona future.
Dembele is apparently on his way out of Barcelona, and if reports are to be believed, a move to the Premier League may well be on the horizon.
Indeed, the likes of Newcastle, Liverpool and Arsenal have been linked, and Hutchinson has had his say on which clubs should go for him.
Interestingly, Hutchinson says Liverpool should move for Dembele, claiming that it would be too much of a risk for Arsenal.
What’s been said about Dembele?
Hutchinson gave his verdict on the French winger.
“If I was Liverpool I would (go for Dembele), if I was Arsenal I’m thinking I could get more out of Pepe, they’re two similar players. The trouble with Dembele is that he’s not been fit enough at Barca, he’s a wonderful talent, he certainly was at Dortmund. If Arsenal threw their money at Dembele I think it would be a risk, but if Liverpool did it he’d be a squad player who’d have to fight for his position,” Hutchinson said.

Risky
Hutchinson says that Arsenal should ignore Dembele because it would be a risky move, but couldn’t the same be said about Liverpool?
This is a player who will command a massive wage, and if Mohamed Salah’s new contract isn’t sorted soon, he may find himself with some massive shoes to fill if he moved to Anfield.
As Hutchinson says, Dembele’s fitness has been a problem, and that means he’s a risky signing for any club thinking about moving for him.
