Robbie Savage says Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal will finish ‘above Liverpool and Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United’ if they complete the triple transfer of Declan Rice, Kai Havertz and Jurrien Timber.
Arsenal finished above Manchester United and Liverpool last season, with the latter missing out on a Champions League spot and falling into the Europa League.
Kai Havertz is already through the doors at Arsenal, it’s just a case of whether Declan Rice and Jurrien Timber join him, and if they do, then Savage claimed that they will help their new team ‘finish above Liverpool and Manchester United’, as he told BBC Radio 5 Live Sport.
Manchester United are yet to make any inroads in the transfer market this summer, but there are suggestions that they are closing in on a deal for Mason Mount.
As for those at Anfield, they have already boosted their midfield with two new names, the latest being Dominik Szoboszlai, who joins Alexis Mac Allister on Merseyside.
Despite that, Savage is still backing the north London club to come out on top next season.

“I think he (Rice) will be a great signing for Arsenal, I really do,” said Savage. “Those three players. Timber, Rice and Havertz, that’s three players who automatically get into the team.
“Three terrific additions. Good ages. I think they are brilliant, brilliant signings.
“I think, with those three signings if Arsenal get them, as it stands now, they finish above Manchester United and Liverpool. I think if you finish above Arsenal with those players, then you win the league and that will be Manchester City. Those three players improve the XI.”

Can Manchester City be stopped?
Even before Pep Guardiola guided Manchester City to the Treble, they were already regarded as the best team in the land, in Europe and one of the best teams ever.
All of this just makes it even more difficult to stop their non-stop winning machine and it’s pretty simple, finish above Man City and then you are champions.
Easier said than done, although, Liverpool have been the only side to have done it in recent times, whilst Arsenal should have won it last season, only to shoot themselves in the foot.
