Rangers are reportedly ready to sell midfielder Glen Kamara after four years at Ibrox, with the Glasgow side requesting a fee in the region of £10million – and such a bargain price tag has got to have West Ham on red alert.
Kamara, 26, joined Rangers back in January 2019 from Dundee. Initially signing a pre-contract deal that would see the ex-Arsenal man move to Ibrox that summer, Rangers then agreed a fee to make the transfer happen immediately.
Just £50,000. One of Steven Gerrard’s best signings north of the border, he has gone on to play 168 times in all competitions for Rangers – and become a regular for Finland. He is just two caps away from reaching a half century.
But this season, Kamara has started just six of his side’s 14 games. Falling behind John Lundstram and Ryan Jack in the pecking order. It might not even be a question of quality, but more Kamara knows his time at Ibrox is nearing an end.

Reports on Monday claim that Rangers are ready to sell in January. If, they receive a fee of £10million for his signature. Gerrard and Aston Villa are ‘favourites’, but surely such a potential bargain will have Davies Moyes ready to rival Villa?
West Ham have got to be on red alert with Rangers ready to sell Kamara
Back in 2021, it was claimed that Moyes and West Ham were weighing up a move for the 48-time Finland star. But at that point Kamara was crucial to the Rangers side, one of the first names on the team sheet. Now, not so much.
Clearly, Moyes is an admirer of the Ibrox midfielder. Perhaps, because the Hammers desperately need more depth in the middle of the park. Flynn Downes was bought, but they lost both Alex Kral and Mark Noble in the summer.
Tomas Soucek and Declan Rice are first choice, but Soucek has been woeful of late – especially against Everton. West Ham need a midfielder. Moyes likes Kamara and Rangers will sell for £10million – it makes utter sense for all parties.
