FC Barcelona have joined the transfer race for RB Leipzig superstar Christopher Nkunku, with Arsenal and Mauricio Pochettino also in the competition for the Frenchman.
According to Foot Mercato, the Catalan side have been impressed with the 24-year-old’s performances this season, along with most of Europe’s top sides looking to spend this summer, with Nkunku having a year to remember for the east German side.
The France international has scored an outstanding 27 goals in all competitions this season, as well as bagging 17 assists as Nkunku has firmly established himself as one of the most productive players in Europe this campaign.
With the midfielder open to a move this summer, Leipzig could be forced to sell their star player, and now Barcelona have joined the growing pack of clubs interested in Nkunku, with Arsenal firmly in the competition.
As per the report, Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Manchester City are also chasing Nkunku, yet Barcelona’s interest, as well as PSG’s, are the standout clubs for the Bundesliga superstar.
Indeed, Barcelona have one of the most exciting projects in European football underway with Xavi Hernandez at the helm, whilst a return to PSG could be an alluring proposition for Nkunku, much to the dismay of Arsenal and Mikel Arteta.
Arsenal could stand no chance in signing Nkunku with Barcelona and PSG interested

Arsenal’s goal this summer is a fairly simple one, signing a natural goalscorer who knows how to find the back of the net, and based on Nkunku’s form this season, the Frenchman is perfect for the role.
However, with PSG and Barcelona interested in the midfielder, a player who was labelled as ‘dangerous’ by Didier Deschamps, Arsenal could face next to no chance in signing Nkunku given the weight behind these two clubs being keen on the Leipzig star.
