Rhian Brewster has been speaking about his time at Liverpool during a Q&A with Angel Gomes, courtesy of Rising Ballers.
Interestingly, the 21-year-old – who was sold to Sheffield United in 2020 – spoke very highly of James Milner.
What’s the story?
Well, Brewster was asked who he thinks the most underrated player he’s played alongside is.
Without hesitation, the £23.5m man said: “James Milner.”
Brewster continued, saying: “He doesn’t get the recognition that he should get. Bro, he’s an absolute baller. I remember when I first joined the first-team, bro, he doesn’t lose the ball.”
Clearly, the Liverpool Academy graduate has an immense amount of respect for Milner, and admires the way in which he conducts himself.
Who wouldn’t?
Even at 35, Milner is playing like he’s in his prime, and also at an incredibly high level – he is a remarkable athlete, to say the least.
Should Liverpool offer James Milner a coaching role?

In our view, Liverpool would be foolish not to offer Milner a role on the coaching staff when he eventually retires.
With his football knowledge, leadership skills and application, he will surely go on to become a tremendous coach, or even a manager.
Additionally, he’s been at Anfield for nearly seven years now, so he knows Liverpool inside and out.

It was interesting to hear Pep Lijnders tell Ibrahima Konate to listen to Milner “for his own good” following his arrival from RB Leipzig.
Clearly, the £140,000-a-week man already has the aura of a manager or coach, as his own teammates are advised to listen to him and follow his lead.
Milner is a exquisite professional, to say the very least.
