Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to praise Mateusz Musialowski, despite the Under-21 side losing 5-0 to Port Vale in the EFL Trophy.
What’s the story?
Well, Port Vale’s first-team gave Liverpool’s young guns the runaround at Vale Park, putting five goals past Marcelo Pitaluga.
In fairness to Liverpool’s Academy gems, Port Vale are on fire – yesterday’s victory was their tenth win in 12 games.
Barry Lewtas was also unable to select his best side, due to international call-ups for his young prodigies.
Despite the hammering at Vale Park, Musialowski still managed to impress the Liverpool fans who watched the game.
The 18-year-old, who has already impressed in first-team training under Jürgen Klopp, lit the game up at times with his exquisite dribbling skills.
One fan even said that the Polish wonderkid needs to be playing in a better side, while another said he’s great at getting out of tight spaces.

The Anfield faithful should be very excited about this teenage gem.
Before joining the Reds, Musialowski remarkably scored 130 goals in just 80 appearances for SMS Łódź.
In Poland, he is widely regarded as the next big thing to follow in Robert Lewandowski’s footsteps.
The wonderkid’s dribbling is mesmeric, and he put it to good use last season with a phenomenal goal against Newcastle’s Under-23 side.
As aforesaid, he has also already partaken in first-team training under Klopp – the sky really is the limit for this attacking gem.
