Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl LX halftime show triggered a major tourism surge, with flight searches to Puerto Rico rising 245 percent in the days after his performance.

Expedia data shared with Billboard revealed a sharp spike in travel interest immediately following the global broadcast.

The numbers suggest the cultural showcase resonated far beyond the stadium.

Puerto Rico searches soar after halftime show

According to Expedia, flight searches from Feb. 8 to 11, 2026 increased 245% compared to the same dates in 2025. The data reflects travel searches for stays in Puerto Rico during that window.

The surge extended across multiple destinations within the island. San Juan experienced a 240 percent increase in flight searches.

Vega Baja, Bad Bunny’s hometown, saw the most dramatic spike. Searches for flights there jumped 1,450 percent following the performance.

Latin America and tour stops also see increases

The broader region benefited as well after the halftime show highlighted Latin American culture. Expedia reported that Mexico rose 210 percent, while Brazil and Colombia each increased 120 percent, and Argentina climbed 70 percent over the same comparison period.

Interest also grew around Bad Bunny’s upcoming Debí Tirar Más Fotos World Tour, particularly as he previously stated he would not bring the tour to the United States.

Expedia reported flight searches to London increased 90 percent ahead of his June show, Madrid rose 20 percent, and São Paulo climbed 35 percent based on searches made Feb. 8 to 11, 2026, compared to the same dates in 2025 for concert dates plus one additional travel day.

Expedia’s vice president of public relations said the data demonstrates how pop culture can influence travel behavior.

The surge underscores how a halftime performance can translate into measurable tourism interest.
