Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale sat down with former club AFC Wimbledon for an interview. And the England international made an interesting comment on the supporters at the north London side.
Speaking to the League One side’s official website, the 23-year-old shot-stopper waxed lyrical about his connection to the Emirates Stadium fanbase.
Since arriving at Arsenal in the summer, Ramsdale has formed an incredible bond with supporters, with the former Wimbledon star becoming a quick fan favourite in north London.
Since replacing Bernd Leno in the starting XI, Ramsdale is yet to lose a game for the Gunners. With the former Sheffield United star keeping four clean sheets in the process.
Ramsdale has surpassed expectations at Arsenal since his arrival, and his comments to Wimbledon seem to indicate that he is loving life with the Premier League giants.
The 23-year-old said: “I’m loving the connection I’ve got with the fans there, like I did here [at Wimbledon]. But ultimately, they are not the ones picking the team. If I keep the manager happy, which I’m doing now, I’ll be doing well.”
