Athletic Bilbao ace Ewan Urain has branded Rangers duo Stephen Kelly and Glenn Middleton as “special” players and told how he has nicknamed Ibrox maestro Kelly ‘El Mago’ (The Magician’).
The Spanish-born striker is part of the Scotland under-21 squad alongside the Rangers pair as they prepare to get their European Championship qualifying campaign underway.

Despite training and playing with some quality talent with the La Liga side, Urain singled out the Rangers pair for praise and confessed he’s learned “so much” working with them.
“There are some very special players and to play alongside them is special” Urain said [BBC].
“Especially Glenn (Middleton) and also Stephen Kelly.
“I call him ‘El Mago’ which is ‘The Magician’ in Spain but he doesn’t understand it too well.
“They are both special players and I learn so much from then.”
Scotland face Turkey tomorrow night and both Kelly and Middleton are likely to have key roles for Scot Gemmill’s side.
The Rangers duo are two of the senior players in the squad as they kick off their qualifying campaign, with Middleton having captained the side recently.

Middleton has made an impressive start to the season at club level while on loan at St Johnstone while Kelly has been on the fringes of the Rangers first-team after an eye-catching pre-season.
