Speaking on The Done Deal Show, Ben Jacobs has given an update on Leicester City’s transfer plans that will also affect Leeds and Arsenal.
The Foxes are in the market for a deadline-day move for Jack Harrison, and according to Jacobs, a move for Harrison could well spark a late switch for Youri Tielemans amid strong links to Arsenal.
Why does Leicester signing a winger affect a central midfielder? Well, according to Jacobs, the arrivals of Harrison and Tete could allow James Maddison to move centrally, in turn, opening up the chance for Tielemans to move – although he did note that a move is unlikely.

Tielemans small chance to move
Jacobs shared what he knows about this transfer domino effect.
“Leicester are active towards the end of the window. They are trying for Jack Harrison. If Leicester get Harrison and Tete has come in as well, they may be prepared to let a midfielder go.
“People assume that Tete’s arrival means that Maddison might be available to a late bid from Newcastle United, but that’s not my understanding. I think Maddison will be a summer sale as I’ve said. Tete going wide could allow Maddison to play more centrally and Leicester then might potentially look at a Tielemans offer at the right value. But when I say potentially, I mean it’s a low probability. It would have to be outstanding, it would have to be Tielemans driving the move and it would have to be a club coming in at the 11th hour.”
Anything can happen
Jacobs notes that this isn’t the most likely outcome on deadline day, but you can never write anything off at this time of year.
As everyone always says, stranger things have happened, and amid reports that Arsenal are still in the market for a midfielder, Tielemans could be an option.
Of course, that hinges on Leicester signing Harrison, but according to The Mail, Leeds are open to a sale, so that one could be on the cards too.
Keep an eye on all of these situations as we enter the final hours of the transfer window.
