Speaking on The Done Deal Show, Dean Jones has been talking about Arsenal and Dusan Vlahovic amid ongoing rumours about the Serbian.
All month long we’ve been hearing about Arsenal wanting Vlahovic, and all month long we’ve been hearing that the Serbian isn’t overly keen on a move.
However, despite facing numerous setbacks, Arsenal haven’t been deterred in their quest to sign Vlahovic, and they’re still in the market for the young attacker.
Jones says that it will be a tough move to get done, but he claims that the Gunners have at least a 25 per cent chance of making a transfer happen.
What’s been said about Vlahovic?
The journalist shared what he knows about Vlahovic.
“It was always going to be a tough get and they knew that from the off. It was always expected that there was more chance of Vlahovic leaving at the end of the season than leaving now, but Arsenal have been trying their luck, because it’s not often you get a chance to bid for a player like this with at least a 25% chance of making a transfer go ahead,” Jones said.
“I think it’s Vlahovic more that doesn’t want this deal to happen right now rather than Fiorentina. Vlahovic is great, he scored again against Genoa. I don’t know if Arsenal are the best fit for him, and I don’t think he’s sure about that either. He wants to win the Golden Boot this season, so most of his focus has been on staying.”

Never say never
25% points towards this deal not happening this month, but you can never say never in football.
Transfers that seemed dead in the water can resurface at any point, and Arsenal often have a deadline day trick up their sleeves.
Unfortunately, it will be hard for the Gunners to convince Vlahovic to move to north London, but nothing worthwhile is ever easy.
This may be a situation worth keeping an eye on right up until the transfer deadline.
