Arsenal fans have reacted on Twitter to Aston Villa signing Danny Ings from Southampton.
Well, in today’s social-media-driven world, Villa, somehow, managed to keep the Ings deal under wraps.
On Wednesday evening, they announced on Twitter – to the surprise of their own supporters and others – that Ings has penned a three-year deal with the club.
Arsenal fans have spoken about the quick and no-nonsense nature in which their Premier League rivals have conducted this business.
There was even the well-documented saga of Villa trying to sign a certain Emile Smith Rowe this summer.
That definitely didn’t go unnoticed by supporters, before the Hale-End academy product ended up penning a new deal in North London.
Villa were linked with Ings this summer, but what has surprised supporters the most is that there was nothing reported during these past few days about this deal.
All that Jack Grealish talk has, of course, taken the limelight.
But there was no talk about a fee being submitted for the English hitman, talks being advanced, medicals being booked or anything of that nature.
