BBC pundit Scott Minto has lavished praise on to Ollie Watkins for his sublime brace for Aston Villa in their 3-0 victory against Newcastle United.
The £28 million (Guardian) man opened the scoring with a lovely finishing just close the box to fire his side into a lead.
But the English striker was not just done there, as he gave Villa a two-goal cushion with a stunning turn and finish after his second strike was disallowed.

BBC pundit Scott Minto was in awe of just how decisive Aston Villa goalscorer Ollie Watkins was against Newcastle United.
BBC pundit Scott Minto raves about Watkins in Newcastle masterclass
It was reported in early March that Mikel Arteta had personally asked his side to complete a transfer for the boyhood Gunners fan.
The 27-year-old, once branded as ‘generous’ by Andy Townsend is having a tremendous season for the Villains, registering 13 goals and six assists in the Premier League.
BBC pundit Scott Minto praised Ollie Watkins for his impeccable pair of goals for Aston Villa in their win against Newcastle.
“What a run Watkins is on at the moment. He must be wishing there was a World Cup around the corner”, he said on BBC Sport.
HITC View: Watkins is finally getting the credit he deserves
When Watkins initially signed for the Birmingham-based side, he was getting his due credit for instantly adapting to the English top-flight.
But as Villa declined, so did the England international’s goals, which led many to count him out as a flash in the past.
However, Ollie Watkins has always been an extremely well-rounded No.9 and as he has become a goal magnet yet again for Aston Villa, as proven against Newcastle, it is nice to see names like BBC pundit Scott Minto sing his praises.
All Watkins must do is maintain his hot streak and he will continually get his flowers for being one of the best strikers in the country.
