Aston Villa reportedly have a ‘decision to make’ with the Midlands club receiving an offer for one of their key defenders.
Unai Emery’s Aston Villa have been busy in the transfer market as the Villains prepare for their first stint in the UEFA Champions League during the Premier League Era.
Villa have signed Amadou Onana from Everton and have also Ross Barkley on a free transfer from relegated Luton Town.
As well as this, Villa have signed Ian Maatsen from Chelsea, after the left-backs brilliant loan spell at Borussia Dortmund but this signing could be set to have a knock-on effect for another defender.

Galatasaray make Lucas Digne offer
Lucas Digne may now become second choice left-back at Villa Park with the signing of Maatsen suggesting that the Dutchman will be the first choice.
Maatsen has Champions League experience and was previously linked to Manchester City and looks to be a superb talent and he could well be the man starting come the opening day of the Premier League season, which would mean Digne’s future could be as a backup.
However, according to a report from Foot Mercato, Galatasaray are keen on Digne with the Turkish champions in the market for a new left-back as they currently have Derrick Köhn as the only player in that position.
It’s claimed Galatasaray’s intention is to sign the 31-year-old on a loan deal, and there’s no mention whether they want to include an option or obligation to buy as part of the deal.
Galatasaray have reportedly submitted a loan bid for the Frenchman and it appears Villa will have a big decision to make this summer.
Sales may be key for more additions at Villa
Whilst Villa have made some astute signings in the transfer market including Barkley who has been compared to Diego Maradona, more sales may be needed.
Because of Financial Fair Play and Profit & Sustainability Rules, Villa, despite qualifying for the UEFA Champions League, may well need to sell players to make more signings.
The Frenchman was a regular under Unai Emery last season as he made 46 appearances in all competitions. He has a contract at Aston Villa lasting until 2026.
There is no mention in the report as to whether Villa would be open to allow Digne to leave the club but Emery will have a decision to make this summer.
