The signing of Joao Felix would put the cherry on top of a brilliant transfer window for Aston Villa.

The Villans have already spent over £150million on eight new arrivals this summer, but they are looking to strike a blockbuster deal for Joao Felix in the final weeks of the window.

As revealed by HITC, Villa are locked in talks with Atletico Madrid as they try to reach an agreement for the 24-year-old star.

They are prepared to make Felix the top earner at Villa Park on a wage packet of around £150,000 per week.

Both clubs have failed to reach an agreement so far, but with Atletico spending heavily to strengthen their squad, Aston Villa are preparing a final assault.

Aston Villa demand Joao Felix figure

Villa are prepared to pay £50million for Felix and could strike an initial loan deal with a mandatory buy option.

Atletico have been busy in the transfer window themselves, and are closing in on deals for Premier League duo Conor Gallagher and Julian Alvarez.

The Spanish giants are set to pay around £115million for the duo, including £82million for Manchester City forward Alvarez.

HITC revealed on Monday that City were ready to sanction a deal for Alvarez to join Atletico Madrid with personal terms already agreed.

According to Spanish outlet Sport, Villa have demanded that Atletico provide a “definitive” and “reasonable” figure for Felix once their deal for Alvarez is concluded.

Villa are aware that Atletico now need to raise cash after spending heavily on Gallagher and Alvarez and are prepared to launch a final push for the Portuguese star.
