Last week, the Daily Mail reported that Villa had held a new round of talks with Kamara in the hope of signing him.
The Sun now claim that Villa are interested in ‘sealing the deal’ for Kamara whilst others in the race back away.
Kamara’s wage demands are putting off certain clubs but not Villa.
This comes after The Sun claimed in January that Kamara was seeking a huge £150,000-a-week with his next club.

Villa may well be willing to pay big money for Kamara this summer, especially given that he is out of contract.
Kamara is leaving hometown club Marseille this summer with no new contract in sight.
A holding midfielder or centre back, Kamara has excelled in France but now seems ready for his big move.
Newcastle United have held talks according to The Northern Echo but Villa are looking to swoop in and get him snapped up.
Newcastle’s spending power makes them a real threat, but Villa continue to push for Kamara’s signing as they look for a pure holder to play behind John McGinn and Jacob Ramsey.
