Fulham and Aston Villa have reportedly stepped up their pursuit for a player who was of interest to Arsenal and Manchester City.

Marco Silva’s Fulham have been busy in the summer transfer window with the Cottagers signing Arsenal’s Emile Smith Rowe.

As for Aston Villa, who finished in a UEFA Champions League place under Unai Emery, they too have been very busy in the transfer window.

The Midlands club have made three key signings this summer with Villa’s most expensive being Everton’s Amadou Onana, with the Belgian midfielder joining the club for £50 million whilst Ian Maatsen set the club back around £40 million.

It appears neither side are done there.

Fulham and Aston Villa stepping up Semih Kilicsoy pursuit

HITC has previously reported that Arsenal and Manchester City are keen on Semih Kilicsoy as the teenage sensation from Besiktas has made quite an impact.

Kilicsoy made 23 Super Lig appearances for Besiktas last season, with the Turkish international scoring 11 times and providing three assists and there is little surprise to see the forward linked with a move away.

We have also reported that Arsenal had edged ahead of Tottenham Hotspur in the race for Kilicsoy but it appears Fulham and Villa are also keen.

A report from Turkish outlet Sabah states that Fulham have made an offer for Kilicsoy which was rejected whilst Villa have also made an offer of their own which was slightly higher than the London side’s offer but that too was turned down.

Kilicsoy is still just a teenager and has a contract until 2028 so it is currently unclear how much the Turkish giants would demand for the forward.

Arsenal could miss out on Kilicsoy

As mentioned, Arsenal are one of the sides who HITC have reported are interested in the Turkish forward but they could miss out.

The report from the Turkish outlet doesn’t detail if Arsenal or Spurs will enter the race for the teenager.

A leading scout at one of the Premier League’s top clubs believes that Kilicsoy is a ‘special’ talent and it seems that there could be a race to sign the teenager this summer.
