Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea want to get rid of Romelu Lukaku as soon as possible, according to a report.

Journalist Rudy Galetti has reported on Twitter that Chelsea and Juventus are working on a deal for Romelu Lukaku.

Serie A club Juventus want to sign Lukaku from Premier League outfit Chelsea in the summer transfer window.

Chelsea are determined to get rid of the £325,000-a-week (The London Evening Standard) striker as soon as possible, according to the Italian journalist.

Earlier this month, Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano reported on Twitter that Chelsea head coach Mauricio Pochettino is backing the club’s board stance to offload Lukaku this summer.

Chelsea reportedly want €40 million (£34.35 million) for the former Manchester United striker.

Lukaku is under contract at Chelsea until the summer of 2026.

No future at Chelsea for Romelu Lukaku

In our opinion, there is no future at Chelsea for Romelu Lukaku.

If the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners want the striker gone now, then it is hard to see him get into head coach Mauricio Pochettino’s team if he does stay.

Lukaku is a very good striker, but he has not been at his best in his second spell at Chelsea and was out on loan at Inter Milan last season.

Juventus and Inter are big rivals, and it will be interesting to see if the 30-year-old striker does join the Bianconeri this summer.

Lukaku has made 278 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.

The striker has scored 121 goals and provided 35 assists in those matches.

Chelsea had a torrid campaign last season and will be determined to finish in the top four of the Premier League table in 2023-24.

As for Juventus and Inter, they will be keen on winning the Serie A title next season.
