Liverpool and Everton are reportedly interested in signing Edin Dzeko from AS Roma in the summer transfer window.

AS Roma head coach Luciano Spalletti has told La Gazzetta dello Sport that Edin Dzeko is part of his plans for next season.
Dzeko struggled to play well for Roma during the 2015-16 campaign and has been linked with moves away from the Italian club in the summer transfer window.
According to a recent report on Forza Roma, Premier League duo and Merseyside rivals Liverpool and Everton are interested in signing the former Manchester City striker this summer (click here to read more).

Spalletti’s comments, though, suggest that Liverpool and Everton will have to look elsewhere for a striker, as Dzeko is in the plans of the Italian tactician for the 2016-17 campaign.
“We care, we want to see the potential he showed before coming to Rome,” Spalletti told La Gazzetta dello Sport about Dzeko. “We are happy to have him in our team.”

Dzeko scored eight goals and created 22 chances in 31 Serie A appearances for Roma last season.
It was largely a disappointing season for the Bosnia and Herzegovina international striker on a personal level, but he seems to have the confidence of his manager.
The former VfL Wolfsburg star is a decent striker and did relatively well at City, winning the Premier League title twice and the FA Cup once.
