Liverpool and Everton reportedly involved in a head to head battle to sign Edin Dzeko.

Merseyside rivals Liverpool and Everton are battling it out against each other in order to win the services of Manchester City’s Edin Dzeko, according to reports from Forza Roma.
Having struggled to establish himself as a regular starter for Manchester City, Dzeko made a move to Italian giants Roma on a season long loan deal last summer.
While Dzeko did play a role in helping Roma earn a Champions League spot last term, the striker managed only 10 goals throughout the course of the campaign and it remains to be seen whether the Serie A side will look to turn the loan move into a permanent one.

Dzeko featured only sparingly during the last few months of the season at the Stadio Olimpico and with the Bosnian international commanding huge wages, it looks like Roma are skeptical regarding signing the 30-year-old permanently.
Nonetheless, Dzeko is attracting the interest from a number of clubs and now according to reports emerging out of Italy, claims have been made that Merseyside rivals Liverpool and Everton are both interested in signing the former Wolfsburg star.
Despite not getting regular time on the pitch at City, Dzeko boasts a very good record in England and he would most certainly prove to be a good signing for Liverpool as well as Everton.
