Fabrizio Romano revealed earlier in the week that Arsenal’s Reiss Nelson is a wanted man.
The Gunners have offered the 21-year-old – whose current deal expires next summer – a two-year extension until 2024.
But the Italian journalist added that Nelson has interest from Olympiacos as well as a number of English clubs.
And it seems like the player himself is open to leaving Arsenal, where he began his career.
It has been reported that Nelson has put his London home up for sale [Mansion Global] in a development which may indicate that his future lies elsewhere.
Nelson hasn’t progressed as he would have liked in recent years, after showing huge promise earlier in his Arsenal career.
But it looks like he remains a popular figure among some Gunners fans. Here’s how they reacted to the revelation that his house is on the market.
Can’t blame him
Arsenal fans won’t blame Nelson one iota.
Despite his promise, the lad only earned 205 minutes of football across all competitions under Arteta last season.
For the sake of his career, it makes complete sense for Nelson to call it a day in North London and try his luck elsewhere.
While Arteta is Arsenal boss, there’s very little future for him it seems.
