Arsenal confirmed their Europa League squad this week.
Football London shared all of the players on Mikel Arteta’s 24-man squad for this competition and there was an interesting name among them.
Marquinhos was Arsenal’s first signing of the summer transfer window following a £3 million transfer from Brazilian outfit Sao Paulo.
And the 19-year-old attacker might be set to make his competitive debut for the Gunners.
Arteta’s side kick off their Europa League campaign tomorrow with a visit to FC Zurich in Switzerland.
With the Premier League games coming thick and fast for Arsenal from here on out, rotation will be key to helping Arteta keep his best players fit for as long possible.

And with Arsenal failing to sign a more established winger toward the end of the summer window, there’s an even greater pressure on the Spanish manager to keep Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka fit.
It’s unlikely that Arteta is going to use both of them on Thursday night and with that in mind, it seems very probable that Marquinhos – regularly named on the bench for Premier League outings, without coming on – will come into the starting lineup for his senior debut.
Marquinhos impressed in pre-season and has already been making waves for the Under-21s this season, scoring a number of goals.
His progress won’t have gone unnoticed by Arteta who could – and probably will – reward him with a first-ever appearance in an Arsenal shirt tomorrow night.
