Arsenal’s Champions League qualification bid is in real peril after losing at Tottenham Hotspur this week.

With two Premier League games remaining, the Gunners are one point clear of their North London rivals back in fifth.

Not only is morale at an all-time low under Mikel Arteta, but Arsenal also have major injury injury concerns ahead of Monday night’s visit to Newcastle United.

Rob Holding is suspended following his red card against the Lilywhites, Ben White isn’t 100 percent and now Gabriel Magalhaes limped out of Thursday’s 3-0 defeat at Tottenham.

With that in mind, it seems possible that Arteta could finally unleash a certain Jonathan Dinzeyi.

The 22-year-old joined Arsenal from Spurs back in 2020 but hasn’t yet made a senior appearance for the Emirates Stadium outfit.

Crossing the North London divide is a big deal usually and one that’s always going to garner a lot of media attention, but there wasn’t much fanfare over Dinzeyi’s transfer due to the fact he was a youth player.

However, Under-23 player or not, Arsenal need him.

Arteta hs promoted him to senior training twice in the build-up to Premier League games against Leeds United and Tottenham.

And with available central defenders at a premium, it does seem logical that the towering figure – who stands at 6’4 – could well make his debut against Newcastle on Monday.
