Arsenal have officially missed the boat on Galatasaray full back Sacha Boey after he completed a move to German giants Bayern Munich.
The Gunners pounced for two signings in the last January transfer window as Leandro Trossard and Jakub Kiwior arrived from Brighton and Hove Albion and Spezia respectively.
We haven’t seen anything similar from Arsenal this time around though with the Gunners keeping quiet so far this month.
It’s difficult to imagine any late business from Arsenal this week and they have now missed the boat on a potential defensive addition…
Arsenal target Sacha Boey signs for Bayern Munich
Galatasaray right back Sacha Boey has been linked with Arsenal for some time now.
Boey was thought to be a £20million target at the end of last season but Arsenal ended up signing another defender in Jurrien Timber.
Boey did though confirm that Arsenal wanted to sign him, leaving the door open for a potential January move.
Arsenal haven’t pushed for Boey this time though and if they were waiting for the summer, then their hopes are now over.
That is because Bayern Munich have today confirmed the signing of Boey, handing him a four-and-a-half-year contract.

Bayern have been chasing defensive additions this month and missed out on signing Radu Dragusin to Tottenham Hotspur.
Eric Dier joined the Bavarian giants instead, but Bayern have now pounced to add another natural right back in Boey.
Branded ‘amazing’ by former Arsenal right back Bacary Sagna, Boey has impressed for Galatasaray both in Turkey and in the Champions League.
Bayern have now lured Boey to Germany with Arsenal missing the boat; of course, only time will tell whether the Gunners have missed out on a star.
Boey is athletic, committed and has impressed both going forward and defensively, and we would have loved to see him compete with Ben White in this Arsenal side.
It wasn’t to be and Boey will now look to show Arsenal what they are missing by shining with his move to the German champions.
