Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are very keen on signing Napoli’s Victor Osimhen and Lautaro Martinez of Inter Milan in the summer transfer window, according to CBS Sports.

The report has claimed that Arsenal are keen on signing strikers at the end of the season.

The Gunners have been ‘undertaking extensive scouting’ of Napoli striker Osimhen and Inter ace Martinez.

Victor Osimhen and Lautaro Martinez would be massive for Arsenal

In our opinion, both Osimhen and Martinez would be massive signings for Arsenal and could be their two strikers for years to come.

Now, of course, we know that Arsenal are doing well at the moment, but manager Mikel Arteta could need as many as three new strikers in the summer of 2022.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang left for Barcelona in the January transfer window, and Arsenal did not replace him.

Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah are out of contract at the Gunners at the end of the season.

However, both Osimhen and Martinez will be very expensive.

Italian club Napoli will demand as much as €100 million (£84.21 million) as transfer fee for Osimhen, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

Mundo Deportivo have reported that Inter want €70 million (£58.94m) for Martinez.

Signing the two players could cost Arsenal €170 million (£143.15m).

Martinez has scored 14 goals and provided two assists in Serie A for Inter so far this season.

Osimhen has scored 11 goals in 17 Serie A starts for Napoli so far this campaign.
