Newcastle United could sign Napoli superstar Victor Osimhen this summer if the Toon submit an offer that exceeds the Serie A side’s €100m (£84m) asking price.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport via GIFN, the Partenopei are currently not open to selling their star striker in the upcoming transfer window. However, Napoli could change their mind if an incredible offer is made, with Newcastle listed as an interested club in Osimhen.
As per the report, Napoli have already rejected a huge offer from the Magpies, and Eddie Howe’s side could likely make a second attempt for Osimhen, who this season has been in great form for the Italian giants.
The former LOSC Lille star has bagged 15 goals in all competitions in just 25 matches, and Osimhen’s form has caught the eye of multiple Premier League clubs according to reports, namely Arsenal and Newcastle.
Hailed as ‘unbeatable’ by Napoli teammate Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa, Osimhen has been viewed for some time as one of the best strikers in Italy and as a talent who could become world-class in the coming seasons, hence why Newcastle would have to break the bank to land the striker.
At just 23, Osimhen could be ready for the Premier League, yet with Napoli naming their demands for their star attacker, Newcastle could face a serious financial battle to sign the Nigerian international this summer.
Newcastle have to be certain they want Osimhen before spending big

This summer is lining up to be a huge one for Newcastle, with their newfound wealth making them an easy club to link to many of football’s most exciting names, which is what makes their interest Osimhen one that the Toon need to be certain about.
A striker is needed at St. James Park this summer, and Osimhen could be a solid option for Newcastle if Howe is certain that the Serie A star is ready to take over the reins as the club’s main goalscoring outlet.
