Jamie Carragher has spoken highly about Arsenal transfer target Ilkay Gundogan and how the Manchester City star has had a ‘fantastic’ career.
Over the weekend, Manchester City edged closer to becoming Premier League champions for a third time in a row by outclassing Everton at Goodison Park.
Ilkay Gundogan opened the scoring with an outstanding improvised flick, whilst having his back to goal inside the penalty area, and for Carragher, it’s the ‘Goal of the Season’, as he told Sky Sports Premier League (15/05/23 at 6:35 pm).

In the summer, the 32-year-old is out-of-contract at the Etihad Stadium – Pep Guardiola doesn’t want the goalscoring midfielder to leave.
But the German, who has won four Premier League titles at the Etihad, is attracting interest from elsewhere, including Barcelona and Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal.
Whatever happens with the quick-thinking midfielder, for Carragher, his career is one to applaud.
“He’s had a fantastic career, whether he’s still in the Premier League next season remains to be seen,” said Carragher.
“He was a special player for Borussia Dortmund and he has been a special player for Manchester City.
“The goal I am going to look at now. I think it’s Goal of the Season. Watching it at home I was just thinking ‘wow’.”

GUNDOGAN IS A PREMIER LEAGUE LEGEND
Well, if Gundogan does leave Manchester City this summer, then he might just do it in the most explosive of fashions.
Pep Guardiola’s side are less than a month away from becoming treble winners.
The Premier League title is in the bag, it’s just a case of seeing off Real Madrid in the Champions League, then having to contest the final against Inter Milan and the FA Cup final against, none other than, Manchester United.
History beckons those in Manchester, those words have been echoed before, but now it’s the turn of the blue side.
