Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal could reportedly get rid of central defender Rob Holding in the summer transfer window.
According to The Times, Rob Holding is among the players Arsenal are “likely to try to offload”.
Folarin Balogun, Nuno Tavares and Emile Smith Rowe have also been named in the report among players Arsenal could try to offload at the end of the season.
Arsenal future bleak for Rob Holding
In our view, it would make sense for Arsenal to try to offload Rob Holding in the summer transfer window.
While the 27-year-old has done relatively well when he has played, the centre-back is a peripheral figure at Arsenal.
When all the centre-backs are fit, Holding does not get into the team.

Holding is not at the level of Gabriel and William Saliba, and that has shown in key games in recent weeks.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta described Holding as “incredible” back in January 2021, but the defender has not really progressed since then.
Holding is a Premier League-level player, and we believe that he would be a good signing for a mid-table team.
The Englishman is 27 now and is about to hit his peak years, so spending them on the bench at Arsenal would be unwise.
Holding has made six starts and eight substitute appearances in the Premier League for Arsenal this season.
The defender has scored one goal in those games.
Holding also made six starts and one substitute appearance in the UEFA Europa League, scoring one goal in the process.
