Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal could now sign Joao Felix on a permanent contract from Atletico Madrid, according to journalist Rudy Galetti, who has added that Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United are growing in confidence about a loan deal.
The well-known and well-respected journalist has claimed on Twitter that Manchester United are growing in confidence about agreeing a loan deal with Atletico over Felix, who can operate as a forward, attacking midfielder or winger.
Galetti has added that Arsenal have been given internal green light to bring the 23-year-old Portugal international forward to the Emirates Stadium in the middle of the season on a permanent deal.
And this is news to us all.
So far, we have heard reports that Arsenal want to do a loan deal with Atletico over Felix, described as “a world class talent” by former Liverpool star Jose Enrique on Instagram this month.
The Daily Mail have claimed that Arsenal are in talks with Atletico over a loan deal for the youngster.
However, it seems that the Gunners could buy the Portuguese star.

If Arsenal press ahead with their interest and make a bid to sign Felix on a permanent deal, then Manchester United will miss out.
That’s because Atletico will surely want to sell Felix and get a good transfer fee rather than send him out on loan.
