Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal want to sign Lautaro Martinez from Inter Milan in the summer transfer window, but the Gunners will face competition from Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United and Graham Potter’s Chelsea, according to TEAMtalk.
Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United eye Inter Milan’s Lautaro Martinez
The report published this morning has claimed that Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United all plan to bid for the Argentina international striker in the summer of 2023.
The 25-year-old, who won the 2022 Qatar World Cup with Argentina, is open to a move to the Premier League.
Former Serie A and UEFA Champions League winners Inter themselves could sell Martinez due to financial issues, according to the report, which has added that Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is ‘a big admirer of the striker’.

Gunners more appealing now
In our view, Arsenal will be more appealing to Lautaro Martinez in the summer of 2023 than they were to the Inter Milan striker just a few months ago.
This is not the first time that the Gunners have been linked with the 25-year-old Argentina international striker.
The Times reported in May 2022 that Arsenal wanted to sign Martinez from Inter in the summer of 2022.
However, the striker turned down the chance to move to the Gunners because they did not finish in the top four of the Premier League table last season, meaning that they could not qualify for the UEFA Champions League.
However, things are very different now.
Arsenal are at the top of the Premier League table at the moment and could win the title this season.
Stats
Martinez has scored 12 goals and given three assists in Serie A for Inter so far this season.
Last season, the Argentine star scored 21 goals and gave three assists in the league, while in 2020-21, the striker scored 17 goals and provided three assists in Serie A.
