Kevin Campbell has thrown his weight behind a potential Arsenal transfer for Tammy Abraham.
The Roma hitman was heavily linked with a move to the Gunners in 2021, prior to joining the Italian outfit from Chelsea.
Arsenal might need a new number nine to cover the injured Gabriel Jesus and Abraham has been touted [LaRoma24.it].
Eddie Nketiah is doing a good job at replacing the Brazilian so far.
But Campbell has argued that more firepower is needed – even after possibly getting Mykhailo Mudryk – and believes Abraham may be the one.

He told Sky Sports News: “Mudryk will be a really good addition, I still think they need another striker. Rumour has it that they were interested in Tammy Abraham. I think that would be a good alternative as well, so they can mix and match and play different players, as there’s a lot of games to come.”
This is a big decision for Arsenal.
Even if Abraham doesn’t join, which in all probability he won’t, the Gunners do need additional firepower, irrespective of whether Mudryk is signed or not.
Let’s not forget that the North Londoners have a golden chance to win the Premier League title this season – their first since 2004.
And letting that opportunity pass them by, for not strengthening, could be detrimental.
It might not be Abraham, but Campbell is right in saying that his former outfit do need another number nine.
