Lyon midfielder Bruno Guimaraes haș told Arsenal that he won’t be making any transfer before the Olympic Games come to an end this summer.
That’s according to Lance, who claim that Arsenal want to sign Guimaraes and have made their move to bring him to North London.
However, the Lyon star isn’t willing to even discuss a move to Arsenal just yet, with the Gunners now having to wait until the Olympics end.
Guimaraes has played an important role in helping Brazil reach the semi-finals of the football tournament at the Olympics, and will be hoping to win gold.
The gold medal match takes place in Japan on August 7th, meaning Arsenal may need to wait a week before they can even gauge whether Guimaraes wants the move.
Guimaraes, 23, started 21 league games for Lyon last season whilst making another 12 substitute appearances, bagging three goals and one assist in the process.

The Daily Mail reported in 2019 that Edu wanted to bring his fellow Brazilian to the Emirates as a potential replacement for Granit Xhaka – and he now wants him again.
Compared to Kevin De Bruyne by Brazil boss Tite, Guimaraes is seen as a talented midfielder with a big future ahead of him, and Arsenal will now have to bide their time if they want to finally sign him.
