Arsenal have completed their first major signing of the summer in Riccardo Calafiori but the Gunners will surely not stop there.
Riccardo Calafiori completed his move to Arsenal earlier this week and the Italian defender is set to play a key role at the club under Mikel Arteta.
However, this looks to be just the beginning for the Gunners this summer. Here is the latest news coming out of the Emirates Stadium.

Mikel Merino
Arsenal are interested in Real Sociedad’s Mikel Merino with the former Newcastle United midfielder keen to leave the La Liga side.
According to Spanish outlet Sport, there is an ‘offer on the table’ from Arsenal whilst Barcelona remain keen on Merino and could make a move themselves.
However, the newspaper edition of Sport claims that Merino has prioritised Barcelona but the Spanish giants are ‘cool’ about the prospect of signing him.
This means that Arsenal could well be in the driving seat to land the Spanish midfielder. Sports Zone claims on X that the Gunners and the Spanish midfielder have struck an agreement over a four-year deal.
Victor Osimhen
Arsenal were frustrated in their attempts to sign Benjamin Sesko, who signed a new deal at RB Leipzig that contains a release clause that comes into effect next summer.
A report from Italian outlet Corriere Dello Sport talks about the situation of Victor Osimhen and they have thrown the Gunners into the mix.
HITC reported that Chelsea are in talks with Napoli for Osimhen with the Italian club keen on Romelu Lukaku so a deal could be on the cards.
Arteta’s side, the report claims, have ‘returned’ to the chase for the Nigerian striker this summer with Paris Saint-Germain ending their interest due to the price tag.
Raphinha
Before Brazilian winger Raphinha joined Barcelona from Leeds United, Arsenal and Chelsea were keen on signing him.
However, Raphinha chose Barcelona and has been a good signing for the Catalan club but money troubles have meant he could be on his way out of the Camp Nou.
HITC reported that Arsenal have been told Raphinha wants a Premier League return and has been offered a plethora of English clubs.
Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo claims that Arsenal are prepared to offer £43 million for the winger but Barcelona want £53 million for his services.
Edu is said to be behind the Gunners’ attempts to land the winger this summer.
Emile Smith Rowe
HITC reported that Emile Smith Rowe is set to join Fulham after the Cottagers struck an agreement with Arsenal for the signing of the Englishman.
Dharmesh Sheth of Sky Sports News has posted a video on X of Smith Rowe leaving his Fulham medical as a deal edges closer.
The deal is at the ‘final stages’ with just the signing of the contracts remaining before a deal is announced. Arsenal are set to receive a fee of £34 million for the English academy graduate.
