Juventus star Federico Chiesa is now growing unhappy owing to boss Massimiliano Allegri’s tactics. The Italy forward is also a transfer target of Arsenal and Liverpool for this summer.

That is according to Il Bianco Nero, which reports Allegri is frustrating Chiesa by favouring a 3-5-2 formation over a 4-3-3. Juventus feel they must use a three-man defence due to the characteristics of their squad and the players there. But Chiesa believes it restricts his role.

The 25-year-old would rather play on the wings as it allows him to be a protagonist, like for Italy during Euro 2020. Yet a 3-5-2 shape forces Chiesa to either operate from a box-to-box role out wide or to join their attacks that are already in progress from a second striker role.

Chiesa additionally feels Juventus have put a spotlight on him as sporting director Federico Cherubini claimed he may one day leave the Serie A side. The Bianconeri chief feels the 40-cap dynamo’s entourage is always demanding a pay rise which frustrates the Turin natives.

Juventus, though, consider Chiesa to be practically non-transferable over the next window, barring extraordinary offers. Calciomercato has also reported recently that the Bianconeri do not envision selling the Genova native. So, it will take around €100m (£89m) for a deal.

Arsenal and Liverpool are eying Chiesa in view of a summer transfer with Juventus

Arsenal and Liverpool are eying Chiesa in view of his transfer from Juventus in the summer sales, nonetheless. CalcioMercatoWeb reports Mikel Arteta sees the Fiorentina product as his top target. He left I Viola for the Bianconeri for £34m in 2022 after two terms on loan.

But CalcioMercatoWeb also reports that Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp wants to sign Chiesa to replace Mohamed Salah. The German is losing faith in the 30-year-old and he would use the Egyptian’s sale to sign the Italian. Klopp will review Salah’s situation over the summer.

In the meantime, Chiesa will strive to continue his return from tearing his anterior cruciate ligament 13 months ago. The forward, whom Gianluigi Buffon called ‘unbelievable’ at Euro 2020, has played a full 90 minutes once. But he has one goal and three assists in 12 games.
