Robbie Savage has told Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal to sign Brighton and Hove Albion winger Kaoru Mitoma.
With a lot of talk around Arsenal needing a central striker and a lot of noise about Brentford hitman, Ivan Toney.
One Arsenal fan was more concerned about the wide players and the lack of depth behind Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka when speaking to Robbie Savage and Chris Sutton on BBC Radio 5 Live Sport.
As a result, Robbie Savage suggested that the Premier League title hopefuls should look to sign Kaoru Mitoma – A player who Ian Wright described as ‘unstoppable’ this season.
Last season, the 26-year-old, who is the Japan teammate and close friend of Arsenal defender Takehiro Tomiyasu, made a name for himself by helping Brighton to Europe for the first time in their history.
He scored seven goals and supplied six assists from 33 games and this season he has three goals and four assists to his name (transfermarkt).
Kaoru Mitoma to Arsenal
“I would go for Mitoma as a wide player,” said Savage. “We aren’t talking about central strikers (re Ivan Toney).
“The Arsenal fan said they only have Saka and Martinelli as wide players, so I would go for Mitoma.”

January transfer window
This is a big one for the Gunners. Who do they go for and how much can they spend?
From strikers to wingers to midfield players. Many players have been mentioned, including Aston Villa’s Douglas Luiz.
It does seem as though that extra spice needs to be added in the winter, but equally, the current players need to do their job.
That Kai Havertz winner at Brentford could be a massive turning point for the player himself and the team as a whole, with Owen Hargreaves stating that no one in the world can do what he does.
