Arsenal have had many players in international action during this break, and they have – touch wood – managed to avoid an injuries.
Bukayo Saka featured for England against Belgium last night, but a rather lower-profile teenager has continued his development too.
Goalkeeper Karl Hein has yet to be seen in Arsenal first-team action, but has been tipped for a bright future since joining from Nomme United in 2018.
The Estonian was called into first-team training by Mikel Arteta last month, which was another sign of his potential – and he’s making strides on the international stage.
Estonia took on North Macedonia on Sunday, and 18-year-old Hein started in goal in a 2-1 defeat.
With seven saves, Hein earned praise from ERR back in his native Estonia, and that was his fifth senior cap for his country.

Hein may not be featuring for Arsenal, but playing senior international football will certainly help with his development, with the Gunners surely delighted to see him making this progress.
It may not be long before Hein overtakes Marko Meerits as Estonia’s first-choice goalkeeper, and at the age of just 18, Hein is certainly on the right path.
