Bayern Munich are reportedly willing to banish Serge Gnabry from the club if the rumoured Arsenal target doesn’t leave this summer or sign a contract extension with the Bundesliga champions.

According to Kicker, the Germany international is expected to decide on his future next week, with Gnabry’s contract with Bayern expiring next year and interest in the winger hotting up, with the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United all reportedly interested in the winger.

However, as per the report, Bayern are not afraid to put Gnabry in the stands for the rest of next season if he does not leave the club or sign a new contract, a decision that would benefit nobody given how productive the German winger has become over the years.

The Bundesliga star last season bagged more goals and assists in the league than rumoured Arsenal target Raphinha in 800 fewer minutes of football, with Gnabry also likely to be available at a cheaper price than the Brazilian international this summer.

With Sadio Mane recently signing for Bayern, it makes sense why the club are so keen on allowing Gnabry to leave this summer, with the winger one of the club’s highest-paid players and the German giants likely to fetch a pretty penny for the 26-year-old.

And with Arsenal now missing out on Raphinha, this update could spur Mikel Arteta to pull off a signing somehow even more incredible than that of the Leeds Untied superstar, with many fans eager for Gnabry to return to north London in the peak of his career.

Arsenal’s quest for Raphinha this summer given how strong the squad are in the wing department is unusual, to say the least. But when it comes to a player like Gnabry and Bayern’s latest stance on the attacker, the Gunners simply can’t stand still with such a golden opportunity now sitting at their feet.

The forward leaving Bayern for Arsenal would be an incredible move for the Gunners, and whilst it still seems unrealistic, Gnabry would no doubt be open to returning to north London and being Arteta’s leading man in what would be one of the Basque manager’s best transfers yet.
