A Bild journalist has predicted that Liverpool will sign Moussa Diaby, a reported Arsenal target.
Diaby, who plays for Bayer Leverkusen, has most commonly been linked with transfers to Arsenal and Newcastle United this summer.
However, Liverpool haven’t signed a replacement for either Sadio Mane or Takumi Minamino, both wide players.
And Christian Falk of Bild has predicted that Jurgen Klopp is going to sign the Gunners-linked attacker at some point in the future after telling Give Me Sport that he’s perfect for the German manager, though he doesn’t believe it’ll be this summer.
He said: “I always wondered why Liverpool didn’t buy him before, he would fit perfectly in this system, and I think we will see him there. But at the moment, it doesn’t look like it will be this summer.”
Falk is generally reliable when it comes to transfers.
After all, he was the journalist who consistently predicted that Liverpool would be signing Thiago Alcantara [Off the Ball], even when more regional publications like The Echo stated regularly that there was nothing to the speculation.
However, Arsenal are a genuine threat.
According to David Ornstein only yesterday, the Gunners are still interested in signing a winger this summer.
That’s one of the only positions that Mikel Arteta and Edu haven’t strengthened and with three weeks left in the window, well don’t rule out an approach by the North Londoners.
