Speaking to CalcioNapoli24 TV (via CalcioMercato), Hungary manager Marco Rossi has given his opinion on where Arsenal target Dominic Szoboszlai will end up.

It’s widely thought that the Hungarian star will be on the move in the near future with the likes of Arsenal, Real Madrid and RB Leipzig all linked.

Rossi is bound to have a good insight into the player’s next career move, and he seems to think that he’s not set for a switch to Arsenal.

Understandably, CalcioNapoli24 TV wanted to ask him about Napoli’s interest, but he seems to believe he’ll be headed to Germany when he does leave Salzburg.

“I’ve never talked to him about Napoli’s interest, but he reads and inquires: I wouldn’t mind if he moved to Napoli in Italy, living in Pozzuoli I could see him more often.” Rossi said.

“My feeling is that he is more likely to end up in Germany: he is ready to make the leap, going to the Bundesliga the pace is less long.

“The Austrian football of Salzburg is similar to that of the Bundes, arriving in Italy would involve changes and periods of adaptation from a tactical point of view.”

It would make a lot of sense for Szoboszlai to end up in Germany.

RB Salzburg and Leipzig’s links are well-known, so that does seem like a possible destination for him. However, even when Salzburg’s wonderkids don’t go to Leipzig, they seem to flourish in Germany, with Erling Haaland perhaps being the best example of this.

Unfortunately, it’s bad news for Arsenal on this front, but Rossi’s comments haven’t completely ruled them out of the race.

In the end it’s down to Szoboszlai to decide where he wants to end up.
