Arsenal have been heavily linked with Udinese defender Nahuel Molina of late – and it could end up being a swap involving Pablo Mari.
Arsenal may be in the market for another right back this summer.
A host of more attacking right backs have been linked as another option to compete with the more defensively-minded Takehiro Tomiyasu.
Djed Spence has been a prime rumour in recent times but Molina represents an interesting option too.
Messaggero Veneto reported in April that Arsenal want to sign Molina and may use Pablo Mari as a makeweight to sign him.
Mari is currently on loan at Udinese having been farmed out in January. The Spaniard was finding first-team action hard to come by at Arsenal.
Mari has been a regular for Udinese though and the Serie A side may be keen to keep him on a permanent basis.
To make that happen though, Udinese may need to give up Molina to Arsenal in a part-exchange deal this summer.
Molina, 24, has racked up six goals and four assists for Udinese this season, showing that he can be the attacking complement to Tomiyasu.
Formerly of Boca Juniors, Molina has ben shining in Italy and he could earn himself a dream move to Arsenal this summer.
Molina has now spoken to Marca about his future, stating that he is proud to be linked with clubs like Arsenal.

For now though, Molina is focused on Udinese and Argentina, seemingly putting transfer talk to the back of his mind.
“It fills me with pride that there is talk of the interest of clubs like this,” said Molina. “But right now my head is in Udinese and with the national team. Then we’ll see.”
Molina also raved about Mari, claiming that he has brought a ‘leap in quality’ to Udinese’s defence since joining from Arsenal.
“It has helped us a lot. He has given us a leap in quality and experience in defense,” added Molina.
It would now be quite the sight to see Molina swapped with Mari, with the Arsenal target clearly a huge fan of the Gunners player who could be used in his own transfer.
